Chuck Reed has been on the road and in the studio since 1980. He spent 27 years at Interscope Geffen A&M Records as VP of Studio Operations, A&R Director and In-House Engineer/Producer. Reed started off as a guitar technician and sound engineer in L.A.’s punk/rockabilly scene.  He graduated from Pinnacle College/Sound Master Recording School in 1984 with certifications in recording engineering, live sound reinforcement and studio maintenance.  Reed’s touring experience includes gigs as live sound engineer and tour/production manager for artists on worldwide tours in clubs, theatres, arenas and stadiums.

In 1984, Reed started working with Jimmy Iovine as a production coordinator and associate artist manager. Starting in 1986, Reed also assisted Iovine during the rehabilitation of the famed A&M Studios until the inception of Interscope Records in 1990, when he was brought on as director of A&R. Since then, Reed has worked with a vast array of artists including Imagine Dragons, Billie Eilish, Guns N’ Roses, U2, 2Pac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Marky Mark, Sting, No Doubt and many more.

Reed also oversaw the rehabilitation of the iconic Muscle Shoals Sound studio, which was made possible through a philanthropic grant from Beats By Dre. Reed continues as an audio consultant for Iovine.

Reed has also produced and/or engineered numerous gold and platinum records including No Doubt, Sting, Motorhead, 50 Cent, Sheryl Crow, Guns N, Roses, Blue October, All-American Rejects, Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, Snow Patrol and many more. Jose Alcantar

(Chief Engineer)

Music Producer, Engineer and Mixer

Jose Alcantar first became serious about music while in school. He was involved in the school band and later formed his own rock and roll band. His first production gigs were recording demos for local bands at the age of 15. By his early twenties, he had a full-time job at 4th street studios in Santa Monica, which quickly led to an offer to work in the studios at Interscope Records. Jose continues to work for Interscope Studios as a Freelance Engineer/Mixer and Consultant.

Jose has worked with many major label artists, including The All American Rejects, Blue October, Something Corporate, 50 Cent, New Found Glory, Jack’s Mannequin, Linkin Park, Stained, and The Doobie Brothers, to name a few. No matter the genre, Jose enjoys everything about making a great record.
